Bionit Mycotoxin Binder

What are Mycotoxins?

Mycotoxins are poisonous compounds which are formed by various moulds and fungi belonging to the species of aspergillus, penicillium and fusarium. These globally found fungi grow on grain and crops under favorable temperature and moisture conditions. This can occur either on the field or after harvesting, i.e. during storage. Numerous other environmental factors are important in regard to the formation of mycotoxins. No matter what precautions you might take it is not always possible to prevent the contamination of grain and crops with mycotoxins.

Mycotoxins include:

Aflatoxin, Ochratoxin, Ergot, Fumonisin, Deoxynivalenol (DON) and Zearalenone (ZON).

What is a Mycotoxin Binder?

A Mycotoxin Binder is designed to bind too and nullify the negative effects of harmful Mycotoxins. A good Mycotoxin Binder will have a large surface area with a high adsorption affinity (binding molecules) for Mycotoxins. Almost all Mycotoxins Binders will contain some type of clay that does exactly this.
