Has large leaves which are a rich, deep, purple-red in the spring and early summer. As they mature they turn a dark purple tinged green. The veins are green when the leaves carry the purple colour. in autumn bright red-crimson colours appear. Grows to be a tall rounded tree reaching 10 mtrs in height and 6 mtrs in spread.
